Adrenal lesions are common CT findings of the abdomen, and they are often an incidental finding. Combination of native and contrast enhanced CT enables us to distinguish between benign and malign lesions. Recommended CT protocol for characterization of adrenal lesions contains native, contrast enhanced and delayed imaging. Based on measuring of density of the lesion, and contrast wash-out, it is possible to differ between adenomas and non-adenomas. There is a summary of differential diagnostic possibilities of CT examination of adrenal lesions in this review.
